Music Imagery Hub

Music Imagery Hub is administered by the Integrative GIM Training Programme and serves to promote practice, training and research in Music and Imagery (MI) and Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) in the UK and Europe.

Music and Imagery (MI) is a unique therapeutic approach that combines talking therapy with listening to music and other expressive arts. MI can potentially help with many different issues. It works well online or in-person if you prefer. If you are seeking mental health support, Music Imagery Hub provides information about MI and its benefits, along with access to qualified practitioners registered with us.

If you a qualified therapist hoping to train in MI, the Integrative GIM Training Programme has been providing training in MI and GIM since 2015. This is currently delivered online. Those who complete our Levels 1 and 2 certificate and diploma courses in MI are eligible to be registered with Music Imagery Hub as MI practitioners. Whilst most of those who train with us are music therapists, we also train art therapists, counsellors, psychologists and psychotherapists.

Training is also provided in Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), beginning with a Certificate in GIM adaptations intended for music therapists and others to be able to incorporate within their existing practice.

Music Imagery Hub organizes an annual MI symposium, intended as Continuing Professional Development for MI practitioners and for others interested in training.
