Therapy location: online or in-person in W Cornwall
Other information: I am a registered music therapist with extensive experience supporting children, young people, and adults who have experienced trauma. Central to my approach is a deep commitment to working with empathy, compassion, and respect. I offer a non-judgmental and collaborative therapeutic space where clients are supported in exploring difficult emotions and experiences at their own pace, utilising both verbal and creative processes.
My clinical work spans a wide range of settings, with a particular focus on trauma, identity, and recovery. I have supported individuals navigating complex trauma, loss, attachment difficulties, and low self-esteem. I am particularly interested in how early experiences shape our sense of self and how therapy can provide a space to reconnect with strength, agency, and self-worth. Alongside trauma-focused work, I support clients with issues relating to identity, belonging, and emotional regulation, drawing on integrative approaches that are sensitive to developmental, cultural, and personal contexts.
As a music therapist, I value the creative and expressive potential of music and imagery, particularly when working with experiences that may be difficult to articulate in words. I use Music and Imagery (MI) within an integrative framework to support healing, self-awareness, and access to inner resources.
I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and trauma-focused CBT, and I work in a trauma-informed way that honours both safety and depth. I have a particular interest in supporting women’s mental health, including those experiencing postpartum challenges, birth trauma, and the transition to motherhood.
I bring a warm, grounded, and attuned presence to my work and believe deeply in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a space for growth, meaning-making, and recovery.
